MO-CPAP Schools Vision and Mission

To increase mental health care access for children and youth and support Schools throughout Missouri as they address mental health concerns with their students.

To maximize a limited mental health workforce and ensure that more children with emerging or diagnosed mental health concerns receive early and continuous treatment.

To eliminate health disparities and achieve health equity to attain the highest level of health for all Missouri students.

What We Do

Missouri Child Psychiatry Access Project Schools (MO-CPAP Schools) connects educators to resources, consultations, and education so they can get kids the help they need at school.

We know healthy children come to school ready to learn. We also recognize children in our state do not all have the same access to healthcare, especially mental and behavioral healthcare.

MO-CPAP Schools seeks to contribute to attaining health equity for all Missouri students.

Initial project efforts will focus on identifying priority areas of the state:

Counties disproportionately impacted by COVID-19

Underserved BIPOC populations

Students living in rural communities

Services are scarce in rural areas. Health disparities exist that are closely linked with social, economic, and/or environmental disadvantages.
