What is Depression?
Depression is a common but serious mood disorder.
It causes severe symptoms that affect how you feel, think, and handle daily activities such as sleeping, eating, or working.
Major depression is defined as symptoms of depression most of the time for at least two weeks and typically interferes with one’s ability to work, sleep, study, and eat.
There is also a loss of interest in previously enjoyed activities.
Depression does not have a single cause. It can be triggered by a life crisis, physical illness, or something else. It can also occur spontaneously.
